SGI Installation Policy
Local exceptions may apply. Contact your local Service Manager for details specific to your region/country. Effective July 1, 2008, initial system installation is no longer bundled with the product purchase price. Installation services are available through SGI Installation Services or an SGI-authorized Service Provider. Post-Initial System Installation: Upgrade, Add-on and Reconfiguration Installation and/or system reconfiguration services are not included with the purchase of any hardware upgrades and/or add-ons. Inquire with your SGI sales representative whether a particular hardware upgrade and/or add-on component purchased is customer-installable. Hardware upgrade and/or add-on components for the following systems are customer-installable; however, installation services are strongly recommended and may be purchased as SGI Installation Services.
